Dr. Nicki Kominek graduated in 1991 from UC Davis Veterinary School. Prior to this, she achieved her BS in Nutrition Science in 1981 from UC Davis. In addition, she completed two years of Master's research and studies in Nutrition Science before starting veterinary school. Dr. Kominek is certified in physical rehabilitation, acupuncture, regenerative veterinary medicine as well as advanced herbology. She enjoys every aspect of small animal medicine, particularly nutrition, physical rehabilitation, acupuncture and soft tissue surgery.

Since 1990, Theresa Goldsmith has been a licensed veterinary technician. After moving to Colfax from Minnesota, she joined Bowman in 1996. She completed the American Association for Veterinary Dental Technician (ASVDT) certification course, and is currently the lead technician at Bowman.

Gail Fleming earned her veterinary technician license in 1989 and has been working at Bowman since 1999. Gail is also certified as a Veterinary Dental Technician.

In 1988, Dr. Kelly Chandler graduated from The Purdue School of Veterinary Medicine. In 2004, she became certified in Veterinary Acupuncture through the International Veterinary Acupuncture Society (IVAS). She gained additional training in Chinese Herbal therapy, and was a teaching assistant for the West Coast Chi Institute Veterinary Acupuncture course from 2007 until 2009. She also assisted in editing Dr. Xie's Textbook of Chinese Veterinary Herbology in 2009. In 2010, she happily joined Bowman and continues to integrate the best of Eastern and Western medicine when treating her patients.

In 2006, Jade deCampos began working at Bowman and is the lead receptionist. Prior to joining our team, she was training and breeding horses and dogs.

Kelsey Mercado began working at Bowman as a kennel assistant at the end of 2010. She now has begun training as a receptionist.

Samantha Coggins first met Dr. Kominek during her senior project in high school. She spent most of her senior year shadowing Dr. Kominek, wherein she enjoyed what she learned, and is now in school to become a licensed veterinary technician. She joined our team as a kennel assistant while she is in school.

Brigitte Aasen went through the Regional Occupational Program (ROP) Veterinary Assistant program three years ago and is now a receptionist at Bowman. For the past two years, she has been working at a pet grooming salon.

Ramona Simko DVM graduated from UC Davis Veterinary School in 1992. She joined a mixed animal practice for two years, then a western small animal practice for 15 years. After being interested in the healing abilities of herbs and natural organic foods for several years, she studied Traditional Chinese Medicine in 2005 at the Chi Institute and recently worked with Dr. Beebe in Northern California. Her practice philosophy focuses on the healing powers of whole foods and natural plant medicines to restore the body's natural internal regulatory functions and healing capabilities.
